METHOD FOR PRODUCING FLUORINE-CONTAINING ALKANE ESTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for producing a fluorine-containing ester useful as a monomer corresponding to a functional polymer such as a medical lens or a photoresist under a simple operation condition at a low cost compared with a conventional method. SOLUTION: A fluorine-containing alkyl ester is produced by reacting a fluorine-containing alcohol with an acid anhydride in the presence of an inorganic base or an organic base by using water as the solvent without using an organic solvent. The method of the invention can easily produce the fluorine-containing alkane ester in a high yield compared with the conventional method and the method is useful because the method scarcely discharges harmful wastes to reduce the load on the environment.
