PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof molding capable of hardly generating noise caused by the rubbing of a coating deposited on the head lower surface of the roof molding with surfaces at both sides of a groove of a roof of an automobile and attaining the simplification of manufacturing at low cost. SOLUTION: In the roof molding 10, a coating film 31 is formed on the upper surface 13 of the head 12 of a roof molding body 11 having the head 12; a leg 21 formed on the lower surface 14 of the head 12 with a narrower width than the head 12; and lips 27, 27 formed on the leg 21. Projections 16, 16 downwardly projected in projection shapes or in step shapes are formed on the lower surface 14 of the head 11 at inner positions from both ends 15, 15 in the width direction of the head 12.
