PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle carrier capable of obtaining simple structure and maintaining the lowest height above the ground of an own vehicle to a high position. SOLUTION: This vehicle carrier 1 is provided with a lower stage load-carrying platform 3 fixed on a chassis frame 2, an upper stage load-carrying platform 4 provided in an upper part of the lower stage load-carrying platform 3, and a link mechanism 5 for elevating and supporting the upper stage load-carrying platform 4 along the vehicle longitudinal direction. The link mechanism 5 has pillar links 7 and 8 for linking the load-carrying platforms 3 and 4 to each other on front and rear sides of the vehicle and a main driving cylinder 9. In the main driving cylinder 9, the axis is horizontally arranged in the vehicle longitudinal direction and along the chassis frame 2. By rotating a front pillar link 8 on the front side of the vehicle around a spindle 14 by the extension and contraction of the cylinder 9, the upper stage load-carrying platform 4 is elevated along the vehicle longitudinal direction.
