摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chucking device of a cylindrical grinding machine, which chucking device can improve the roundness and the cylindricity of a workpiece in grinding the outside diameter or the end surface of the cylindrical, particularly donut shape, workpiece by making its inside diameter as a machining datum surface. SOLUTION: The chucking device comprises a reference shaft S which is integrally mounted on the tip end portion of a spindle so as to be aligned with the spindle, a large number of chuck pins P which are inserted into the reference shaft in the radial direction at the positions arranged at a nearly equal interval in the circumferential direction so as to slightly project and recede with respect to the outer circumferential surface of the reference shaft S, and have respective pressure receiving surfaces 27 for the projection and recession formed thereon so as to move outward and inward in the radial direction by hydraulic pressure, and first and second oil passages R<SB>1</SB>, R<SB>2</SB>for the projection and recession, which passages are separately formed in the reference shaft so as to independently apply hydraulic pressure to the respective pressure receiving surfaces for the projection and recession of the respective chuck pins P.
