PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and stably detect absence of chemical fluid and to prevent false detection of presence of chemical fluid and malfunction following it even in a state in which the level of a chemical fluid stored in a chemical fluid tank is greatly changed and unstable. SOLUTION: In constituting the controller 1 for a speed sprayer M equipped with a chemical fluid residual quantity detection means Fd for detecting reduction in the residual quantity of the chemical fluid L stored in the chemical fluid tank 2 and a control means Fc for carrying out a prescribed corresponding treatment following reduction in residual quantity when the residual quantity is reduced to a prescribed level or lower, the controller for the speed sprayer is equipped with the chemical fluid residual quantity detection means Fd using a chemical fluid sensor 5 for detecting presence of the chemical fluid L flowing in a liquid supply pipe 4 for connecting the chemical fluid tank 2 to a spray pump 3 for sending the chemical fluid L in the chemical fluid tank 2 and the control means Fc for carrying out the prescribed corresponding treatment when the detection time of absence of the chemical fluid sensor 5 is longer than or equal to a prescribed preset time Ts.
