A processor (103) operable to manage synchronised replication of data held in a first database system with data in a second database system, the processor being operable to: (i) extract a first data package (X) from a database (1.1) of the first database system (101) for insertion in a database (2.1) of the second database system (102); (ii) extract a second data package (Y) from a database (1.2) of the first database system for insertion in a database (2.2) of the second database system; (iii) determine that synchronised replication of the second data package in the second database system depends on the prior synchronised replication of the first data package in the second database system; and (iv) complete the insertion of the first data package into the second database system before inserting the second data package into the second database system.
