An apparatus for converting codes using a system clock is provided to prevent error generated from code conversion by executing the code conversion based on synchronization with a system clock. An apparatus for converting codes using a system clock includes an input latch unit(100), a bit processing unit(102), and an output latch unit(104). The input latch unit receives bit data of binary codes to be converted to gray codes in a high edge of a system clock and stores the received bit data. The bit processing unit receives the bit data of the binary codes from the input latch unit and converts into gray code bit data through a combination process between bit data. The output latch unit receives the gray code bit data converted in the bit processing unit in a low edge of the system clock and stores the received gray code bit data.
