<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve limitation of the generation on analog input in a digital equipment, and allow conversion with conventional composite video signal. <P>SOLUTION: The receiving apparatus receives audio-visual signal sent from another equipment 10, and a copyright information indicating that it is replicable or replication generation management information for the audio-visual signal. A signal processing part 31 converts the received audio-visual signal into a composite video signal. A communication control part 32a controls to send an authentication information for judging whether the audio-visual signal is transmittable or not to the another equipment 10 based on the request from the another equipment 10 if the copyright information contains the replication prohibition or replication generation limitation.
