<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shoe 1 with a cushioning system 10, which can be cost-efficiently manufactured and which overcomes disadvantages of the prior technique by using a greater part of the given thickness of a shoe for a cushioning movement. <P>SOLUTION: The shoe including a lower sole element 11 and an upper sole element 19, and at least one lever 20 having at least two arms, wherein at least an angle α between the two arms is in a range of 0°<α<180°, the first arm is connected to a deformation element 30, and the second arm is connected to the lower sole element 11 via a vertical portion 17 of a spacer element 13.
