<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a massage apparatus allowing a user to recognize the presence or absence of a relaxation effect and executing massage with the relaxation effect selectively. <P>SOLUTION: The massage apparatus includes: means (120) for detecting the pulsation of a user, calculating the dispersion of Lorentz Plot data calculated within a prescribed time, also detecting the brain waves of the user within the prescribed time, and calculating and displaying a comfort degree indicating whether or not the user is in a mentally relaxed state on the basis of the detected brain waves, the dispersion and a pulse rate per unit time of the detected pulsation; and a control means (111) for controlling the operating contents or operating position of the massage to the user so as to increase the calculated comfort degree. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
