<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithographic printing plate material, which has properties for preventing poor development, hurts on a plate surface due to foreign substances coming from the front surface and the rear surface of the plate during printing and stained printed material from developing and has the same workability as the conventional one, and to provide a printing method. <P>SOLUTION: In the lithographic printing plate material, which is formed by making at least a hydrophilic layer and an image forming layer in the order named overlie a support, the hydrophilic layer is made of transition elements and includes two kinds of metal oxide particles of metal oxide particles A having the average particle diameter of ≥0.01 μm and <0.10 μm and metal oxide particles B having the average particle diameter of ≥0.10 μm and <0.50 μm and a layered mineral C having a cation-exchange capacity of 50-150 meq/100 g under the condition that the mass ratio (A:B) between the metal oxide particles A and the metal oxide particles B in the hydrophilic layer is kept to be 1:10 to 2:1 and under the condition that the mass ratio ((A+B):C) between the total sum (A+B) of the metal oxide particles and the layered mineral C is kept to be 50:1 to 5:1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
