PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display driver, a bridge circuit, an electro-optical device and electronic equipment capable of suppressing degradation in image quality to the minimum even when abnormality occurs in the display data itself. SOLUTION: The display driver to drive an active matrix type electro-optical device includes an interface circuit to receive transmission data, an error detection circuit to perform an error detection process on the data received by the interface circuit, a display memory to store the image data received by the interface circuit, and a source line driving circuit to drive source lines of the electro-optical device based on the image data read from the display memory. The driver controls a gate line driving circuit to scan a plurality of gate lines of the electro-optical device while avoiding selecting a scan line including dots that display the image data where an error is detected, in the succeeding vertical scanning period to a vertical scanning period where the error is detected by the error detection circuit.
