PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a storable oil quantity of an oil pan, to prevent an oil filter from being damaged by protecting a lower part of the oil filter, to lower temperature of oil in the oil filter and to suppress projecting quantity of the oil filter. SOLUTION: In the oil filter mounting structure of the tilting engine with the triangular oil pan under a crank pulley provided at a front surface of a chain cover, a front side protruding part is formed by bulging out a part of the oil pan front surface lower than a cylinder axis in a longitudinal direction of the crankshaft and a departing direction of a front surface of the chain cover, storing parts are provided at a bottom part of the front side protruding part and the oil pan, a filter recessed part is provided in an upper surface of the front side protruding part, a tilting surface is provided on a chain cover side of the filter recessed part, the oil filter is stored in the filter recessed part by mounting the oil filter into an oil filter mounting hole provided in the tilting surface and the oil filter is provided diagonally below the crankshaft in a width direction of a vehicle.
