PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device for a die for coating which is capable of simply and surely removing a coating liquid attached to a cleaning member by transferring the distal end of a cleaning member along the longitudinal direction of the die for coating in a state that the distal end of the cleaning member is brought into contact with the apical surface of the die for coating when the coating liquid attached to the lip part of the die for coating is removed. SOLUTION: In the cleaning device for the die for coating to remove the coating liquid attached to the die for coating by transferring the cleaning member 20 along the longitudinal direction in a state that the apical surface 11a of the die 10 for coating equipped with the slit-like discharge port 12 to supply the coating liquid 1 is brought into contact with the distal end of the cleaning member 20, a suction part 23 to suck the coating liquid removed from the die for coating with the cleaning member is installed, and a washing liquid supply nozzle 21 to move together with the cleaning member to the backward side of the transferred direction of the cleaning member and to supply the washing liquid toward the distal end of the cleaning member after removing the coating liquid from the die for coating is installed.
