An apparatus and a method for driving data in an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device are provided to convert digital data into analog data by utilizing an amplifier for adjusting an amplification ratio according to digital data. An apparatus for driving data in an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device includes a shift register(200), a latch unit(210), a digital/analog converter(220), and an output buffer(240). The shift register outputs sampling signals. The latch unit latches digital data in response to the sampling signals. The digital/analog converter adjusts an amplification ratio, which is determined by a resistance ratio of input resistance and feedback resistance based on the digital data, and converts the digital data from the latch unit into analog data signals. The output buffer buffers the analog data signals from the digital/analog converter and outputs the buffered signals to data lines.
