<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable compressor wherein such CO<SB>2</SB>refrigerant is used that has a relatively smaller global-warming-potential and does not cause ozone-depletion, and return of oil is improved. <P>SOLUTION: The compressor using CO<SB>2</SB>as refrigerant includes a tightly closed vessel 1, an axial-gap type motor 3 which is placed in the tightly closed vessel 1 and has a rotor 50 held in the vessel 1 and fixed on a rotating shaft 4, and stators 60A, 60B axially facing to each other through an air-gap in the axial direction of the rotor 50. A compression mechanism part 2 is placed in the tightly closed vessel 1, and driven by the motor 3 via the rotating shaft 4. Between back yoke 63 of the stators 60A, 60B and the inside wall of the tightly closed vessel 1, a stator perimeter path 63b is provided to establish communication through the spaces on axially both sides of the motor 3. The part of projection of the stator perimeter path 63b in the axial direction of the rotating shaft 4 comes close to the coils of the stators 60A, 60B, or it comes in contact therewith. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
