<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a power device short-circuit detecting circuit which can detect a short-circuit fault, making use of the change between the gate and emitter of a power device leading to a drive board, being provided within a drive board for driving the power device. <P>SOLUTION: It is provided with the power device 1, a gate resistor 4 which is provided in the drive board 2 for driving the power device, and a short-circuit detecting circuit 5 which detects the power device having caused a short-circuit fault, making use of the ripple of necessary gate voltage, being provided between the gate and emitter of the power device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
