PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electrophotographic toner having excellent fixability and improved development properties such as photoreceptor fogging, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The toner comprises: a polyester-containing binding resin; a nonionic surfactant; and an external additive. The content of the nonionic surfactant is 0.05 to 0.5 wt.%, and the external additive includes negatively charged inorganic fine particles having the number average particle diameter of 0.005 to 0.05μm and positively charged organic fine particles having the number average particle diameter of 0.1 to 0.6μm.
