PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hologram recording/reproducing apparatus where a hologram can be swiftly and perfectly reproduced by simple control. SOLUTION: In the hologram recording/reproducing apparatus, a prescribed region with a hologram recorded thereon is irradiated with reference light so as to produce diffraction light, and the diffraction light is received by an image pickup means so as to reproduce the hologram. The hologram recording/reproducing apparatus is configured in such a manner that, when the hologram is reproduced, the reference light is emitted while changing an incidence angle in prescribed angle ranges t, T to the prescribe region, further, the prescribed angle ranges t, T are changed in accordance with the degree of the distortion of a hologram recording medium, and in a meanwhile where the incidence angle of the reference light is changed, the exposed state of the image pickup means is continued.
