The method involves determining a region of interest (ROI) area with structures of one type in a tomographic picture data record, and determining coordinates of the ROI relative to other prominent structures in the record. Another tomographic picture data record is produced with smaller recognizability of structures of another type. A position of consistent prominent structures is determined in the latter record. A position of another region of interest (ROI) in the latter record is computed based on the positions of the structures of the latter type, and is displayed in the latter record. An independent claim is also included for a tomography system or tomography system group with a controlling- and computing unit.
