The system (10) has a flexible volume storage (36) with a pressure/volume-characteristic defined by two points. One of the points is defined by a volume with a pressure, which is larger than a vapor pressure of fuel with an ambient temperature, and the other point is defined by another volume and another pressure in a pressure area (18), which corresponds to a maximum pressure, where a difference between the volumes corresponds to a value, around which the volume of the fuel in the pressure area is decreased from a maximum temperature to the ambient temperature during a cooling process.
