Adhesive and sealing materials (I) containing 2-n-octyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (OIT) and/or 4,5-dichloro-2-n-octyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one and/or N-alkyl-1,2-benzthiazolin-3-one as active biocidal ingredient(s) (II), in which these ingredients are encapsulated in resin-based microparticles (III). An independent claim is included for a method for the production of (I) by adding the biocide-containing microparticles to the material during production.
