An apparatus for driving an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel is provided to arrange common voltage terminals having positive polarity and negative polarity which alternate in a matrix form on a color filter substrate to prevent generation of crosstalk caused by common voltage swing. An apparatus for driving an LCD panel includes a timing controller(41), a gate driver(42), a data driver(43), and an LCD panel(44). The timing controller outputs various control signals for controlling the operations of the gate driver and the data driver. The gate driver supplies a gate on signal to gate lines of the LCD panel. The data driver provides a data signal to data lines of the LCD panel. The LCD panel is driven by the data signal and the gate on signal to display an image and includes common voltage terminals arranged in a matrix form on a color filter substrate. The common voltage terminals have positive polarity and negative polarity which alternate. Pixels of the LCD panel are provided with a common voltage through the common voltage terminals to operate in a dot inversion mode. |
