A method for exchanging strong encryption keys between devices using alternate input methods in WPANs(Wireless Personal Area Network) is provided to enhance security without additional hardware by utilizing alternative data transmission mechanisms. Two devices to be communicated each other through an in-bound transmitting channel are set in a key exchange mode. It is determined which of the two devices generates an encryption key(206). According to the determination, one of the two devices generates the encryption key(208). The encryption key is transmitted to the other device of the two devices through an out-of-bound transmitting channel(210). It is determined whether or not the encryption key is successively validated(214). When the encryption key is successively validated, a communication between the two devices is automatically executed through the in-bound transmitting channel(216). |
