An image searching apparatus, an image searching method, an image capturing apparatus, and a program are provided to find a desired captured image simply by searching captured images by metadata selected over a plurality of categories. An image searching and processing unit(101) performs certain processing on searching of an image based on a manipulation signal provided from a manipulation unit(38). A metadata selector(111) selects metadata and provides the selected metadata to an image searching unit(112) according to a user manipulation. An image searching unit searches the first to the Nth images recorded in a record device(36) based on the metadata provided from the metadata selector and a metadata table stored in a memory(42). A display controller(113) controls displaying of various images on a liquid crystal monitor(11). A label processor(114) performs various processing on a label.
