POLYESTER FIBERS USING NON-CIRCULAR SPINNERET, AND PROCESS FOR PREPARING THE SAME

A high strength polyester fiber by using a non-circular spinneret and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to control the minute structure of an un-drawn yarn aligned partially by a rapid spinning manner by means of a different cross-sectional spinning spinneret. A polyethylene terephthalate low chip is solidified and polymerized. Thereafter, the polyethylene terephthalate chip with the inherent viscosity of 0.9-1.2 and the moisture rate of less than 30ppm is melted at the temperature of 280-310 degrees centigrade. The melted polyethylene terephthalate chip is passed through the different cross-sectional spinneret with the hollow rate of less than 10% and a delay cooling period with the atmosphere temperature of 200-350 degrees centigrade and the length of 20-100mm and then dried. Thereafter, the discharged filament is drawn by multi-stage by means of a multi-stage godet roller with the speed of 2,000-4,000m/min and then wound. The alignment of the un-drawn fiber is 0.01-0.10.
