A detecting apparatus and a control method of an angle of a reference beam actuator for a hologram data storage system are provided to obtain a desired rotation angle of a light reflecting member through feedback control so as to irradiate reference light on an accurate position of the recording device and increase operation reliability of the hologram data storage system. A detecting apparatus of an angle of a reference beam actuator for a hologram data storage system comprises an actuator body(62), a rotary body(66), a light reflecting device(72), a light source(70), and a light detector(75). The rotary body is rotated by interaction between a magnet and a coil, and is installed with a light reflecting member(68) for reflecting reference light to a recording device. The light reflecting device is rotated with the rotary body integrally and installed with an inclined reflection surface. The light detector detects light reflected from the inclined reflection surface.
