A METHOD FOR PREPARING OF THE AROMATIC POLYAMIDE

A method for preparing aromatic polyamide polymer is provided to improve the degree of polymerization of the polymer by removing water present in a solvent and water generated during the neutralization using molecular sieves. A method for preparing aromatic polyamide polymer includes the steps of: (a) dissolving an aromatic diamine in a polar amide solvent containing molecular sieves; (b) adding aromatic dicarboxylic acid chlorides to the solution of the step (a) to perform low-temperature solution polymerization; and (c) neutralizing hydrochloric acid which is a byproduct dissolved in the solution of the step (b). The molecular sieves are contained in an amount of 1-90wt% of the solvent.
