PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure desired joining strength while improving total operation efficiency even if a hollow tube body has a complicated shape, further while preventing deflection of a member even if the wall thickness of the member is≤0.8 mm. SOLUTION: In a method for resistance welding of a hollow tube body 11 and a plate material 12, a plate thickness t of each of the hollow tube body 11 and the plate material 12 is in the range: 0.5 mm≤t≤3.2 mm. On the joining interface of the plate material 12, there are formed a plurality of minute projections 16, whose heights are each in the range of 0.1-1.2 mm, and whose bottom areas are each≥0.5 mm<SP>2</SP>, at a density of 1-10 pieces/10 mm<SP>2</SP>. When welding the hollow tube body 11 and the plate material 12, the body 11 and the material 12 are pressurized at such an extent that the minute projections 16 are crushed, while energizing the body 11 and the material 12 through electrodes.
