PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shim plate for a disk brake excellent in damping characteristics at a high temperature by uniformly dispersing carbon nano fiber. SOLUTION: The shim plate 76 for disk brake includes a metal plate 76a and a rubber part 76b formed on at least one surface of the metal plate 76. The rubber part 76b has carbon nano fiber of average diameter 0.5-500 nm dispersed in natural rubber, first spin-spin relaxation time T2n thereof in a non cross-linked body measured at 150°C by Hahn-echo method with using pulse method NMR is 100-3000μsecond and component ratio fnn of component having second spin-spin relaxation time T2nn is less than 0.2.
