PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of supplying appropriate quantity of fuel for combustion in a cylinder in the case that an ignition timing is advanced than MBT, in an ignition control system for a spark ignition internal combustion engine capable of advancing the ignition timing than MBT. SOLUTION: This invention supplies the appropriate quantity of fuel for combustion in the cylinder by conducting quantity reducing correction of fuel injection quantity of a fuel injection valve when the ignition timing is advanced than MBT, in the ignition control system of the internal combustion engine capable of advancing the ignition timing than MBT. With this invention, it is possible to improve fuel economy and reduce quantity of unburned fuel component discharged from the cylinder without changing torque generated by the internal combustion engine.
