A display device is provided to transmit a user desired setting or a display image from an external image signal transmitting device. A display unit(101) includes a display element. The display element is an electrophoretic element. An antenna unit(103) transmits/receives radio signals. A controller unit(102) controls a signal outputted from a console unit(105) and the radio signals transmitted/received by the antenna unit. A battery unit(104) retains power obtained by receiving the radio signals by the antenna unit and supplies the power to drive the display unit.
