An information processing device, a failure processing method, and a computer-readable recording medium storing a failure processing program are provided to prevent failure from being excessively reported and manage a correct failure count at a low manufacturing cost when the failure occurs in shared hardware resources of a server operable in a partitioning mode for partitioning at least two physical partitions into independent partitions. A failure notifier(103) is installed to each physical partition, detects failure occurring in hardware resource, and notifies the detected failure. An operation mode detector(13) detects the partitioning mode based on partitioning mode information stored in a partitioning mode information storage unit(30). A shared hardware resource determiner(14) determines whether the failed hardware resource is shared by partitioning a plurality of hardware resources based on hardware resources management information stored in a hardware resource management information storage unit. A common failure report generator(15) generates one common failure report based on failure detection notification received from each failure notifier when the partitioning mode is detected and the hardware resource is shared.
