Expandable tubular connection

An expandable tubular connection consists of a pin 10 having a nose 26, wherein the pin is connectible to a box 12 having a nose 32. The box nose is held away from the pin upon makeup of the joint. The box nose is preferably cantilevered on a projection 36 on the pin. The box nose is held away from the pin before expansion so that its tendency to curl inwardly upon expansion causes it to bend against a pin wall 34 for sealing with it. The pin nose may be retained by the box during expansion to prevent undesirable curling.
