An LCD device and a driving method thereof are provided to execute easily the connection of pins between a user interface and a timing controller by adjusting output positions of data from the user interface based on pin arrangement. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device includes a user interface(201) and a data alignment unit(202). The user interface outputs data for displaying images. The data alignment unit receives data from the user interface, readjusts output positions of the data according to a selection signal from outside, and supplies the readjusted data to a timing controller. The data includes red, green, and blue data. The data alignment unit includes a color position adjusting unit and a bit position adjusting unit. The color position adjusting unit receives the red, green, and blue data from the user interface and adjusts the output positions of the data according to colors. The bit position adjusting unit receives aligned color data from the color position adjusting unit and adjusts output positions of bits of data.
