A wireless mouse includes a rotatable backdoor 5 hinged to a base 4, a damper 9, clasps 6 with buttons 63 in side walls 3 that engage the door 5 to hold it closed, and a movable carrier 10 for a wireless receiver 7. The damper 9 may have a spring (92, fig 4) twisted when the door is closed and damped by a rubber ring (94, fig 3) and/or a viscous fluid, so the backdoor can open slowly. The carrier 10 slides within a receptacle 122 and a lock 11 is locked and released by pressing successively on carrier 10. Closing the door 5 also engages a latch for a cover 13 of a battery 15. The battery 15 and carrier 10 are accommodated within a supporting member 12. A power switch 16 is activated by receiver 7. An embodiment has a rubber skid resistant covering (17, fig 8) on side walls 3 which does not hinder pressing buttons 63. |
