A highchair comprises a frame 12, a detachable tray 18, a detachable baby chair seat 14, and a height-adjustable element 16 which can act as a footrest when a baby is in the chair seat and which can act as a child seat when the baby chair seat and tray are detached. There are fixings (32, Fig. 3), 46, 50 for the baby chair seat 14 and fixings (34, Fig. 3), 46, 50 for the element 16, the fixings for each being mutually incompatible. The arrangement of the fixings may prevent the baby chair seat being fitted too low with respect to the frame. The highchair may further comprise uprights (80, Fig. 10) to prevent a child falling through a gap (53, Fig. 10). Also disclosed is a highchair comprising a chair seat and an element such as a footrest, wherein the heights of the chair seat and element relative to a frame may be adjusted independently. |
