PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate article replenishing work in an uppermost article display rack in an open showcase. SOLUTION: This open showcase is provided with multiple stages of article display racks 6 installed in an article storage chamber 3 having an open front face, and a canopy 7 attached to a showcase body 1 so as to be positioned in the front face upper part of the article storage chamber 6. The canopy 7 is vertically openably/closably supported to the showcase body 1 via a hinge 20. The canopy 7 is upward opened, which can eliminate the replenishment of the articles 9 from being impeded by the canopy 7 so as to efficiently perform first-in first-out operation of the articles 9.
