PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of producing with good productivity a flexible polyurethane foam for headrests of vehicle seats which has a core density of 35-45 kg/m<SP>3</SP>. SOLUTION: In the method of producing the flexible polyurethane foam for head rests of vehicle seats by reacting a polyisocyanate component and a polyol component in the presence of a foaming agent, a catalyst and a foam stabilizer, the method is characterized in that: the polyisocyanate component consists of an MDI type polyisocyanate; the polyol component consists of a polymer polyol (A) obtained by polymerizing a vinyl monomer (b) in a polyol (a), or the (A) and a polyol (B), and the (a) and/or the (B) is a polyol component containing specific polyols (a1), (a2) and if necessary (a3); the catalyst consists of a reactive catalyst (C); the foaming agent consists of water; and the foam having a core density of 35-45 kg/m<SP>3</SP>is produced.
