Reinforcements, method for their manufacture and application thereof

A supporting layer (A) comprising at least one textile sheet (I) and at least one reinforcement structure (II) is claimed, where the sheet (I) (already containing the reinforcement (II)) is hydrodynamically consolidated. An independent claim is included for the production of the supporting layer (A), by (a) forming the textile sheet (I), (b) supplying the reinforcement (II), (c) optionally supplying another textile sheet, so that (II) is sandwiched between textile sheets, (d) hydrodynamically consolidating the assembly and (e) optionally impregnating with a binder and/or consolidating under elevated temperature and/or pressure. The order of steps (a) and (b) is optionally reversed.
