Described is a stackable, heat-insulating paperboard cup having an inner sleeve 1 and an outer sleeve 2 with a gap therebetween. A rolled lip 11 is applied to the lower end of the outer sleeve 2, which rolled lip 11 is disposed on the inner sleeve. A shoulder 12 is formed on the inner sleeve 1 for the rolled lip of another paperboard cup to be stacked. The diameter of the inner sleeve 1 below the shoulder 12 is reduced discontinuously. The support of the lower rolled lip 11 on the outer surface of the inner sleeve 1 is arranged at the same level as, or below, the cup bottom 4. Portion 7 to 8 below the shoulder may be formed in the inner sleeve near to the top of the cup (12, fig 8). The shoulder 5 is preferably inclined at between 5 and 25 degrees to the horizontal. A process for manufacturing the cup is disclosed. |
