An over-temperature safety device for an industrial immersion heater including a first portion comprising a pre-loaded body for retention against movement by a fuse of heat fusible material, and a second portion remote from the first portion and comprising an output drivable by the pre-loaded body, the device configured to provide a first state below a predetermined temperature of the fuse in which the output is retained in a non-deployed state, and a second state, above a predetermined temperature, at which the fuse melts, such that the body moves under the influence of the pre-loading and shifts the output to a second position. |
