An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to display the specific patterns formed at the second panel to the left and right viewing angles, thereby enhancing the privacy protection function. The first LCD panel(LCD1) displays a main image. The second LCD panel(LCD2) is arranged at the upper portion of the first LCD panel and offers a specific pattern at the specific viewing angle mode except for the front viewing angle. The specific pattern includes at least one among a character pattern, a figure pattern and a black pattern. The second LCD panel includes the first electrode(220) formed at the display area of the first substrate. The second electrode(222) is formed on the display area of the first substrate except for the first electrode. The third electrode(250) is formed at the display area of the second substrate and located oppositely to the first electrode. The fourth electrode(252) is formed at the display area of the second substrate except for the third electrode. A liquid crystal layer(106) is formed between the first and second substrates(108,104).
