<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus suppressing a lowering in image quality due to toner deterioration thereby maintaining high image quality. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with a photoreceptor drum 1 carrying an electrostatic latent image and a developing roll 23 carrying the developer which can be freely rotated. The number of rotation of the developing roll 23 and the number of image dots formed on a photoreceptor 1 are counted by CPU32 and the counted number of rotation of the developing roll 23 and the number of image dots are stored into a memory 26. When the number of image dots at the predetermined number of rotation of the developing roll 23 is smaller than a specified threshold value, an action to develop the developer on the developing roll 23 to the photoreceptor drum 1 is carried out. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
