The device has a holding device, which transports a container (5) over a support plate (10) and spaced from it. A Viewing window (8) is arranged below the container base and has an observation device (6), with which the container base (4) is inspected through the viewing window. A section (A) is projected perpendicularly on the support plate under the container and the view section is arranged partially, laterally shifted from the section. The view section is completely outside of the projected section of the container. An independent claim is also included for a method for inspecting container base of the containers. |
