A control circuit for a light emitting element and a vehicular lamp are provided to prevent deterioration of a lifetime of an internal component and to stabilize operation of the control circuit by controlling a temperature of the light emitting element. A power conversion unit(10) receives input power and generates a predetermined output current through power conversion of the input power according to a control signal. A current detection unit(20) detects the output current of the power conversion unit. A temperature detection unit(30) detects a temperature inside a case receiving a control circuit(2) for a light emitting element(3). A regulation unit(40) detects whether a temperature of the light emitting element reaches a first predetermined temperature and generates a regulation signal for reducing the predetermined output current not to exceed the first predetermined temperature when the temperature of the light emitting element reaches the first predetermined temperature. A control unit(50) generates the control signal for controlling the predetermined output current according to the regulation signal of the regulation unit.
