A speed dial control method for a home digital phone is provided to output names corresponding to keys on the display screen of the home digital phone when a user uses speed dial, thereby enabling a child or the old to use a speed dial function conveniently. A mode of a home digital phone is switched into a speed dial mode by the input of a specific key. Speed dial information with 0~9, #, and * keys stored in a memory and names corresponding to the keys is outputted on a screen by a display unit(7). If a user selects a specific number using a speed dial information screen and pushes a send key, the user can dial a phone number corresponding to the selected number automatically.
