A maleimide-based copolymer is provided to realize excellent heat resistance, impact strength, gloss, chemical resistance and environmental stress cracking resistance. A maleimide-based copolymer comprises 40-60 wt% of an aromatic vinyl compound, 5-25 wt% of a vinyl cyanide compound and 20-40 wt% of a maleimide compound, and has a weight average molecular weight of 100,000-130,000 and a glass transition temperature of 140-180 deg.C. The aromatic vinyl compound is at least one selected from the group consisting of styrene, alpha-methyl styrene, vinyl toluene, t-butyl styrene and chlorostyrene.
