An apparatus for detecting glass is provided to prevent a collision between a mapping sensor and a glass by arranging the mapping sensor between the glasses for sensing the glasses. An apparatus for detecting glass includes a base body(10), a mapping unit(20), and a fixing member(30). The mapping unit is arranged on the base body and includes a transfer body(21), a supporting member(23), a sensor supporting member(25), and a mapping sensor(27). The transfer body is arranged on the base body and reciprocates on a surface of the base body. The supporting member is coupled to the transfer body and moves with the transfer body. The sensor supporting member is installed on the supporting member with a fixing clip(24) in parallel with the supporting member. The mapping sensor is arranged on the sensor supporting member and inserted between glasses(1) stacked on cassettes(2). The fixing member is coupled to the sensor supporting member for preventing trembling of the sensor supporting member.
