A method for repairing a color filter substrate is provided to perform a repair of a unit pixel in a large panel by blackening a color filter. A method for repairing a color filter substrate, in which a plurality of unit pixels having a first long lateral(L1), a second long lateral(L2), a first short lateral(L3) and the second short lateral(L4) are defined by an organic black matrix(BM) and color filters corresponding to the unit pixels are formed, includes the steps of: discriminating a color filter into which a foreign substance is permeated; and diffusing composition materials of the first short lateral to the color filter by scanning a first laser light from the first short lateral to a region adjacent to the second short lateral.
